The Gobi desert, one of the world's great deserts, covers much of the southern part of Mongolia. Unlike the Sahara there are few sand dunes in the Gobi; rather you'll find large barren expenses of gravel plains and rocky outcrops. This area has rich species of endangered plants and animals. Another interesting fact is that Palaeontologists found dinosaur eggs first time from Mongolian Gobi in 1920s. Thus, there you can see dinosaur fossils and eggs in Bayanzag, Nemegt, Altan Uul, Bugiin Tsav, Guriliin Tsav.
